We have been working with mainly wood products for four generations. Since 2010 we have been working under the wings of Cras Woodgroup on the development of Brems doors. Together we breathe wood and are always looking for innovative solutions with this natural product.

Origins
Brems Door originated from a clog factory founded by Horace Brems in early 1907. Making clogs was a craft and was done exclusively by hand. At that time, the company had 2 employees who each produced 1 pair of clogs per hour. They were made from the wood of poplar trees.
The business flourished, and a new sawmill for poplar trees was built in the 1950s. The company continued to grow as a timber trade and by taking over a door factory in Alken the company entered the door market for the first time. At that time, mainly classic and solid oak interior doors were manufactured.
Cras Woodgroup
Since 2010 Brems doors is part of Cras Woodgroup. This family business with its roots in Waregem has been active in the wood industry for more than 140 years. Cras Woodgroup has 16 own woodshops (Cras Woodshops) spread throughout Belgium and its own wood import company (Somex). In addition, the group also manufactures brands such as Collstrop (garden wood), Dubois-Parquet (parquet flooring), Décor et Jardin (garden sheds) and Wood on Walls (wooden facade & wall cladding). The wood outlet woodlet.be offers end series and second choice wood products online at a very reasonable price.
Following the takeover in 2010, the former Brems timber trade was incorporated into the Cras Woodshops network under the name Cras Woodshop Halen. This specialist in wood and sheet material for construction, interior and garden can deliver a wide range of wood products: solid wood, timber frame construction, various types of sheet material, garden wood, wall cladding, insulation, (parquet) floors, ..
Since the takeover, the former Brems door factory has continued under the name Brems doors.
